For NextGenU.org Founder Dr. Eric Frank, there was a need to find a solution that could address the overwhelming desperation for education in the developing world. By making resources available to anyone, anywhere in the world, NextGenU.org is helping to lift people out of poverty and despair.
Her vision of creating free access to education began to take root after witnessing the devastating lives of children begging in Nepal. With very few opportunities, parents severed limbs to make them better beggars. The reality for so many young people in Low- and Middle-Income countries is the need to set academic dreams aside to contribute to family income.
NextGenU.org is a globally accessible portal for higher education that gives learners from around the world a chance to follow their dreams. We offer cost-free, barrier-free, advertisement-free, educational courses and curricula to everyone around the world.
For now, we focus on making free learning materials, teaching resources, and certification in the health sciences. NextGenU.org is contributing to building the capacity of the global health workforce in clinical practice, public health, and community health by offering professional enhancement courses for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
Our goal of making education globally accessible would not be possible without our partnerships with experts, volunteers, and professional organizations. NextGenU.org is needed now more than ever to remove the barriers to education and give would-be doctors and nurses the opportunity to earn qualifications or further their knowledge.
